Pixie is an NYC and MA-based artist, educator, and former fashion designer/stylist who founded her own accessory and clothing line “Pixie Yates” in the late ’90s and was swiftly featured in many major fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Lucky, Jane, The New York Times, Glamour, W and more

Pixie’s collection was sold around the world in boutiques and major department stores such as Barney’s NY, Barney’s Japan, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Steven Alan, TG170, and many more. She is known for her classic with a twist, feminine, whimsical fashions, and handbags.

Her extensive work in fashion segued to then making art with children after her daughter Georgia was born. She developed "Camp Pixie, an outdoor arts summer camp in the heart of the East Village", only Pixie could do that, as a local camper expressed.

Inspired in equal measures by urban life and everyday objects as by the natural world. particularly her childhood summers in Cape May Point, New Jersey. PIxie is now known for her dreamy effervescent, and color-drenched watercolor style that invokes a sense of nostalgia and delight.

Taking cues style cues from artists such as Vera Neumann, known for her colorful scarves as well as icons Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, Pixie is now translating her fashion styling and designing days, using her creative gifts is now returning to her roots. offering original paintings which translate onto useable everyday objects such as stationery, tea towels, woven napkins, and holiday ornaments.

She has a children’s craft book called Pixie Projects, which is still being developed

Her illustration work has always been of interest especially her whimsical illustrated embroideries on her handbag collections which were featured in Barney’s NY.
